Apple may launch red iPhone XS and XS Max in China this month
Apple is apparently gearing up to add a touch of color to its iPhone XS and XS Max models. According to a new rumor, the company is bound to launch its two current flagship phones in red in China, by the end of this month even.
Unlike Apple's past red smartphones, these will not carry PRODUCT(RED) branding - which isn't surprising because even the red iPhone 7 and iPhone 8 devices sold in China didn't use that, although internationally they were known as PRODUCT(RED) models. Instead the official name of the color variant for the XS and XS Max will be China Red. Pricing shouldn't be different from the Space Gray, silver, and gold iterations.
What's unclear is whether the red iPhone XS and XS Max will make it to other markets, and if so, when. Additionally, you may need to have a pinch of salt nearby for this because it is just an unconfirmed rumor at this point. The person who leaked the info claims to have received the tip from sources in Apple's supply chain, but there's no way to verify that. Then again the company has done mid-cycle refreshes before, and specifically with red models, so all of this at least seems plausible.
