Week 7 in review: Galaxy S10 and Xiaomi Mi 9's last week of rumors
It was a fun few weeks of constant Galaxy S10 rumor coverage but this is officially the last one. Not that there won't be leaks to cover next Monday and Tuesday but Wednesday Samsung will put an end to it with the unveil of its Galaxy S10 lineup.
This week was once again dominated by the upcoming flagship trio. The biggest story by far was the detailed specs sheet, which we exclusively brought to you.
We also witnessed the Galaxy S10+ being handled on video and saw its official banner from the upcoming event's promotional material.
Samsung itself confirmed the 4K selfie camera and reverse wireless charging of the Galaxy S10 family and the name of the Galaxy S10e. The company also kept teasing the foldable phone that will be launched on the same February 20 event as the Galaxy S10 family.
Speaking of foldable phones, there were a few stories about them this week. First off Xiaomi released a statement that goes into some detail about the development of its foldable phone. We also saw some mages of vivo's foldable phone, the iQOO.
Xiaomi confirmed that its Mi 9 flagship will be unveiled on Samsung's big day - February 20. Adding some hype to the occasion, Xiaomi teased the Mi 9's 48MP camera with some samples and we even got to see the Mi 9 for the first time thanks to some hands-on photos from the wild.
Nokia's next big flagship came under the spotlight this week thanks to the Android Enterprise website, which listed some of its specs, but sadly showed nothing we hadn't seen before.
Energizer unveiled a wacky smartphone of its own. The Power Max P18K Pop has an 18,000 mAh battery and a dual pop-up selfie camera.
And finally, as is a usual weekly occurrence, we saw renders of an upcoming Sony smartphone, this time of both the Sony Xperia XA3 and XA3 Ultra with a 5.9-inch and 6.5-inch 21:9 display, respectively.

It looks like the kind of thing wed see hanging up at an event.
The triple-camera setup on the back is real, the colorful ring appears to change under lighting.
The phone was teased by Xiaomi co-founder Lei Jun and pop-star Roy Wang.
The protector also has a hole for the selfie camera as well.
Tipster suggests it could cost over CNY7,000, which is more than $1000.
The images are property of Chuan Wang, head of the domestic division.
The phone is expected to be announced later this month.
Also, one of the videos makes a big deal about the S10 phones not having a notch.
This foldable phone will feature two displays - one that measures 4.58-inch, and other that measures 7.3-inch.
These two are rumored to have 5.9" and 6.5" screens respectively, both with 21:9 aspect ratio.
Its the most compelling foldable phone concept thus far and Xiaomi has officially addressed it.
The Local Guides will be the first group of people to get the feature.
It's essentially the Ultimate U620S Pop, but with a much larger battery. This means 6.2" screen, Helio P70 chipset, triple rear camera.
The Nokia 9 production unit is listed as running Android 8.1. The Nokia 1 Plus is sticking to microUSB.
An image showing the new hue has come out of China and adds to the selection of Black, White and Green that has been rumored so far.
The French official website listed the names of all three Galaxy S10 models.
