Samsung's Galaxy Fit-e appears on Albanian website ahead of release
Back in February, Samsung announced several devices at its unpacked event including the Galaxy S10 trio, Galaxy Watch Active, as well as an entry-level fitness band among them: the Galaxy Fit-e. Its a basic fitness tracker with no smartwatch features for a low cost to customers.
According to a report from Android Pit, the fitness tracker will be coming to the United States on May 21 for a retail price of $35. The band isnt available anywhere yet, but Samsungs Albania website has the wearable listed.
As per the listing, the Galaxy Fit-e will come in black, white, and yellow. The Fit-e can track your workouts, heart rate, step count, and can perform sleep tracking as well. It has a 70mAh battery on-board and is estimated to last about 6 to 7 days with regular use. It has a 0.74-inch monochrome POLED display and can display notifications and show incoming calls.
Samsung has had much success with fully-featured smartwatches since the Gear S and the lower-tier Gear Fit. With the Galaxy Fit-e, Samsung is now competing against a slew of Chinese-made low-cost fitness bands like Huawei and Xiaomi. We wonder how Samsung will set the Fit-e apart from its Chinese competitors.
